We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our client as a Senior Cyber Security Engineer. As a key member of the Defensive Cyber Operations team, you will play a pivotal role in developing, operating, and consulting on cybersecurity initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Support continual improvement of the Cyber Security monitoring and response technologies. Contribute to Cyber Security registers, standards, and procedures. Engineer and deploy network logging and analysis technologies. Identify automation opportunities and develop solutions to streamline processes. Implement automation across SIEM platform. Engineer and enhance cybersecurity incident prevention, detection, and response. Operate and maintain cybersecurity monitoring technologies, ensuring they remain up to date. Conduct troubleshooting activities on cybersecurity tools. Operate in both on-premises and cloud-based environments. Collaborate with threat responders to address cyber incidents. Required Skills & Experience: Proven experience in cybersecurity engineering and operating a SIEM. Prior experience in implementation automation across technology stacks, e.g. Splunk, Splunk Enterprise Security and SOAR. Knowledge of risk management processes. Experience in a large organization, preferably financial services or insurance sector would be an added advantage. Good to have understanding with Penetration Testing, Threat Response, or Software Engineering.
