As the Senior Functional Safety Engineer you will lead the design, implementation and execution of functional safety controls for mining machinery. We are partnering with an Australian owned company, to recruit a Senior Functional Safety Engineer this METS provider specialises in bespoke engineering solutions with a strong focus across for systems integration, process controls & optimisation and the manufacturing through to commissioning of instrumentation and controls equipment. As the Senior Functional Safety Engineer your day-to-day engineering will include, but not be limited to the following: Working on Anti-collision systems and other mining machinery Implementing and commissioning safety control systems Testing and validation of safety Instrumented systems Verification and functional safety assessments Perform functional safety management plans Technical report writing for HAZOP/HAZID project compliance Perform Safety analysis, modelling, and traceability activities to gain certification authority approval Manage the safety design to ensure that the hierarchy of controls and safety in design practices are executed in the project Travelling to site to lead projects through to execution Core experience & qualifications required : A degree qualified engineer ideally Controls, Process Controls, Software or Electrical qualification 7 years post graduate industry experience (ideally in Australian Mining). Certified Functional Safety Engineering qualification You possess on-site commissioning experience with Australian Mining Experience with a range of PLC’s, HMI, SCADA network systems What is in it for you?
