About the team:The Delivery and Assets team comprises three business units as follows: Asset Management: Maintaining and updating infrastructure asset register, preparing Council’s asset management policy, strategy and plans, developing Capital Works Program, reviewing and providing specialist technical engineering advice on infrastructure asset issues to stakeholders. Capital Works: Delivering the Capital Works Program including roads, footpaths, shared trails, drainage network, buildings and bridges. Building Maintenance: Maintaining of all Council owned Buildings. About the role: This a fantastic opportunity for a student/graduate Civil Engineer to join our Asset Management team. We are looking for someone who is keen to learn and work alongside a diverse team of asset and drainage engineers, on all aspects of Council's Asset Management Strategy. The object of the role is to support and learn from the Asset Management team. With ongoing support and guidance, you will: Maintain the infrastructure asset register. Analyse asset data and provide input for strategic documents such as Asset Management Strategy and Plans. Manage customer requests relating to asset management. Respond to Freedom of Information requests. Inspect asset condition as required for CRM or renewal program for road, footpath, kerb and channel and carpark. Support the Asset Management team with Special Charge Scheme requests for upgrading roads and drainage. About you: We are looking for someone who places a strong emphasis on customer service, teamwork, attention to detail and time management. This position would suit someone currently undertaking their final year of tertiary studies or have recently graduated. Previous experience in a role that taught you excellent interpersonal communication skills, data analysis, and attention to detail will be highly regarded. Alongside a strong commitment to providing exceptional customer experiences.
