In this pivotal role, you'll develop and maintain network infrastructure using Python and web technologies, collaborate closely with developers. Network Automation Engineer Role Overview: As a Network Automation Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the development and maintenance of infrastructure supporting our client's Network Operations Team. Your responsibilities will include backend Python development, alongside frontend web development tasks. Additionally, you will contribute to the day-to-day network operations and provide support to ensure smooth network functionality. Networks and Core Infrastructure Services are responsible for the Operation efficiency of the Network Services, LAN, WAN, SDWAN, Wireless, VPN & Remote The team also supports several traditional Hosting and Datacenter services such as backup restore, Data archive, and Data Centre Facilities. Responsibilities: Collaborate closely with developers to ensure operational standards are met. Develop automation tools to enhance the efficiency of network operations, including REST APIs, Django apps, and Python scripts. Provide support for BAU network operations, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident response. Participate in Major Incident Management calls, occasionally outside regular working hours. Possibility of future on-call responsibilities. Problem Solving & Decision Making: In this role, you will regularly make decisions related to: Selecting appropriate tooling to enhance network services. Defining deployment patterns and monitoring frameworks. Troubleshooting technical issues across the network. Estimating effort for tasks and projects. Managing incident and problem tickets efficiently. Skills/Experience/Qualifications: Essential Requirements: Minimum 3 years of experience in a DevOps role. Strong understanding of cloud-native environments and Agile/DevOps methodologies. Must have Proficiency in Python. Familiarity with frontend frameworks like React, Vue, or Angular. Solid TCP/IP experience. Experience automating CI/CD pipelines using tools like Azure DevOps. Experience with managing or automating Cisco and/or Juniper network equipment. Desirable Requirements: Experience in designing both small and large-scale real-time network architectures. Familiarity with tools like Nautobot, Netbox, or Nornir. Previous experience with Django.
