Structural Engineer McArthur River Mine, Northern Territory Glencore's McArthur River Mine (MRM) is a world-class zinc-lead mine with a long future. You'll find our open cut mine in the Gulf of Carpentaria 900 km southeast of Darwin and 64 km from Borroloola. We produce zinc, lead and bulk concentrates on site, with the zinc and bulk concentrate transported to our Bing Bong facility and shipped to our customers all over the world. Our customers use our essential commodities in everyday products for mobility, infrastructure and communications. At MRM, we're looking for a Structural Engineer to manage the successful delivery of complex electrical asset improvement projects in a way that ensures quality, financial and output targets are met. You will establish optimal strategies and planning allowing you to drive your projects in both daily operations and projects whilst maximising plant availability in line with business targets and budgets and the overall business strategy. Scoping, design, management, and compliance of structural projects within time and budget (in line with relevant site and Australian standards). Effective tendering, procurement, and management of project sub-contractors. Ensuring project close-out documentation is completed within the relevant timeframe. Provide regular and accurate project reporting and financial tracking to your supervisor. Forward planning and development of pre-emptive strategies to ensure minimal downtime, unplanned shutdowns and maximise plant availability for any design / project work. Completion and reporting on planned and ad-hoc safety inspections and audits. Providing technical support to operations and maintenance departments (including supervision assistance during shutdowns and maintenance budget planning assistance). Conduct quality felt leadership activities including assigned and ad-hoc workplace observations and inspections. You are a good fit with this role if: Required - Degree Qualified Engineering (Structural) Basic understanding of minerals processing infrastructure. Experience with structural cyclone requirements.
