Where you'll be workingSt Leonards Campus, Northern Sydney Local Health District (NSLHD) What you'll be doing The Administration Officer, NSW Voluntary Assisted Dying (NVSS) is a key role in providing administrative functions across the four operational arms of the service. The purpose of the NVSS is to support delivery of Voluntary Assisted Dying (VAD) to the community via: • The VAD Pharmacy service; responsible for procuring and distributing the VAD substance and providing expert pharmaceutical advice, education, and support. • The VAD Care Navigator Service; responsible for providing consistent and accurate information about voluntary assisted dying to the health system and wide community and providing support for those wishing to access VAD. • The VAD Access Service; providing second tier medical support to ensure equity of access to those in regional or rural NSW in circumstances where local VAD practitioners may not be available. The position also supports the NSLHD VAD-Local Support Team, who provide VAD services to patients within Northern Sydney Local health District (NSLHD). The Administration Officer, NVSS will have the knowledge to provide accurate, timely and efficient administrative support across each service arm. This will include being flexible to rotate between services depending on local need and service operational requirements. Day to day tasks may include: • Management and coordination of travel bookings and all associated appointments across the state, ensuring that processes align to NSLHD policies and procedures • Coordinating appointments with patients and their caregivers • Monitoring of generic NVSS inboxes; collating documents and uploading documents to HIS • Minutes and actions for daily team meetings • Scheduling patient appointments and discharging patients in eMR under the direction of NVSS clinicians • Management of databases, rostering, meetings and contact lists • Timely data entry The Administration Officer, NVSS will be based in one operational service arm of the NVSS for approximately 5-6 months and will then rotate through to another. This ensures that knowledge is shared across the NVSS and that there is good task diversity for Administration staff.
