This is a unique opportunity to grow and develop your skills by being involved in various projects and initiatives to better support our researchers. You will be actively involved in planning and executing the Districts premier event, the Health Beyond Research and Innovation Showcase. You will have the opportunity to plan new projects and work collaboratively with a variety of different people. This role works closely with the media and communications teams, research units, the Office of Health and Medical Research, the Ingham Institute for Applied Medical Research and our partner universities. There is so much room to grow and develop within this exciting role.   What you'll be doing The purpose of the Development Support Administration Officer is to coordinate and manage the research support activities of the Research Directorate in the South Western Sydney Local Health District. This will include managing the daily operations of the Development Support Unit, including coordination of the annual research and innovation showcase, the creation of the annual research report, developing and maintaining reporting databases and assisting the Research Development Manager and Development Support Manager in implementing the action items of the research strategy including general support duties as directed by the Manager. Experience working in a research environment or knowledge and understanding about the medical research environment Proven high order written and verbal communication skills Strong administrative management skills including the ability to deal with and prioritise a high workload Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills including ability to work under constant pressure and in a fast paced environment Proficiency in Excel (or other database system), Office Publisher and a high level capacity to use office computing applications Well-developed organisational skills and experience in project and event management Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team Must possess a valid Australian Drivers Licence (excluding learner driver's licences).
