About our Yarwun Manufacturing Facility Orica's Yarwun manufacturing site, nestled in Gladstone, Queensland, stands as a beacon of excellence in sodium cyanide and ammonium nitrate production. About the role We are currently seeking for a Senior Reliability Engineer to join our team at our Yarwun facility. Reporting to the Senior Manager Asset Reliability, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving work strategies for all assets within their responsible discipline across the Manufacturing Centre that ensures and improves the availability of the Production Cells of the Manufacturing Centre's Product Lines to achieve their objectives across Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost. The Senior Reliability Engineer will be part of our Global Reliability and Asset Management team. You will work collaboratively across all Manufacturing Centre departments (both local and global) and across the areas of Work Strategies Management, Defect Elimination, Master Data Management, Conditions Monitoring and Performance Management (KPI's). What you will be doing Ensure the safety, health and environmental procedures are adhered to within his/her work environment; Lead investigations and develop root cause analysis (RCA) and implement solution to enhance overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) throughout the asset life cycle; Define, implement, and support Condition Monitoring for identified assets; Deliver day-to-day technical support to the Product Line and other departments to ensure Product Line reliability; Promote a culture of continuous improvement and reliability with operators, maintainers, and engineering peers; Support / review reliability strategies as part of the Operational Readiness process for projects at his/her operating unit. What you will bring Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent; At least 8 years of experience specializing in Reliability in the chemical manufacturing or a similar industry; Technical engineering skill and experience on pressure systems, high speed turbo machinery, furnaces, pumps, machine guarding; Good understanding of maintenance cost analysis and reliability improvement tools and techniques (FMECA, RCM etc); Well-developed Root Cause Analysis, (5-Why, Apollo) problem solving and decision-making skills; SAP Plant Maintenance module and experience working with SAP Hana is a nice to have.
