Job Title: Dual Trade Engineer Location: Arndell Park Shift: Split Days (No Nights) Overview: Currently representing a leading food processing company in Arndell Park. Our client is actively seeking a highly skilled Dual Trade Engineer to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of the company's facilities, contributing to the efficiency and effectiveness of their production processes. Responsibilities: Maintenance and Repair: Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks on a variety of equipment and machinery, including but not limited to electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems. Troubleshooting: Diagnose issues with production equipment and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime and maintain optimal productivity levels. Equipment Calibration: Calibrate machinery and instrumentation to ensure accuracy and precision in production processes. Compliance: Adhere to all relevant health and safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment. Documentation: Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, including repairs, replacements, and upgrades performed on equipment. Collaboration: Work closely with production staff and management to identify opportunities for process improvement and implement cost-effective solutions. Training: Provide training and guidance to junior engineering staff and production operators on equipment operation and maintenance best practices. Emergency Response: Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and other emergencies to minimize production disruptions and ensure timely resolution of issues. Requirements: Trade Qualifications: Hold dual trade qualifications in electrical and mechanical engineering, with relevant certifications and licenses. Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the food processing or manufacturing industry. Technical Skills: Proficient in troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems, with a strong understanding of industrial automation and control systems. Safety Conscious: Demonstrate a strong commitment to workplace safety and the ability to identify and mitigate potential hazards. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to diverse audiences. Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, while also being capable of working independently with minimal supervision. Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, to accommodate production schedules and respond to emergencies as needed. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing operational challenges.
