About the Role We are looking for a highly organised and motivated individual who is eager to learn, grow and develop a career within Safety at John Holland. We are looking for a Safety Administrator to work within our Melbourne Water Western Treatment Plant Bundle project team, located at Werribee, VIC. This role is supported by completing a 12-month traineeship to gain a Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety. You'll be exposed to on-site experience to help contextualise the theory you'll learn through the course as well as having access to mentors and other support functions to ensure you're set up for success. Key Responsibilities: Act as the single point of contact for all administrative elements of the HSE team Consult with stakeholders on system improvements to HSE data capture, processing, reporting and trending Work with Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) personnel on day-to-day issues relating to data capture and processing, troubleshoot and resolve system issues Assist with workers compensation and return to work administrative requirements. Maintain the agenda and minutes for Safety team meetings Complete quality checks on incident data (that has been inputted into the incident database) with respect to accuracy and timeliness Run regular reports on the status of action items assigned from investigations and leading activities Complete assurance checks on data filing, record keeping and archiving requirements Assist with the preparation of end of month HSE reports Participate in site HSE walks and assist with coordinating and arranging site walks with relevant stakeholders Work with other service provider stakeholders (such as Human Resources, Learning & Development, Training and Social Procurement and subcontractors) to improve systems interface with HSE Support Verification of Competency (VOC) activities and complete periodic checks on the efficiency and accuracy of the system. Assist in procurement of safety equipment Support delivery team with KPI tracking, inspections record keeping and hazard reporting To be successful in this key role: Previous experience in a high-volume administration role with great attention to detail A good attitude and balance to a busy environment Someone who can communicate with confidence and knows how to handle conflicting priorities and communicate when they are at capacity A time management master when it comes to competing priorities Looking to pursue further studies through a paid 12-month traineeship (Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety) As part of the team, you help us deliver on our promise to transform lives.
