About Milpera State High School Milpera is an Intensive Egnlish Language School for newly arrived migrant and refugee background students. Our students come from more than thrity-five different countries and cultures. We prepare students to undertake programs in mainstream schools and TAFE. Our office staff work as a highly functioning team to welcome and transition our students, supporting all staff and families to gain the best learning and settlement outcomes for our students. About the Role Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Perform a variety of day to day administrative and support services that are routine in nature and directed by the Principal or the Business Manager. Undertake routine activities including reception (telephone and counter enquiries), arranging appointments, correspondence and general administration, maintaining school records, such as incident reports, student admissions, enrolments and departures, processing incoming and outgoing mail and email, and once approved, ordering and arranging student transport for sport excursions, trips and other school activities. Perform a variety of other administrative or support services for school support staff, including printing of timesheets, leave applications and rosters, assisting with arranging approved relief for school support staff as directed. About You The successful applicant requires the skills to prepare the school public relations materials, manage reception, take enrolment bookings, prepare invoicing and receipting documentation and the multiplicity of office jobs listed in the role description. The skills and or working knowledge to use the microsoft package are essential, but equally important is the capacity to work cross-culturally across a very diverse school population.
