Ramsay Hospital Research Foundation is seeking a full-time Senior Officer, Research Grants and Projects Administration to join our team. This position is based out of our Sydney Head Office in St Leonards. The Role Reporting to the Research Operations Manager, the successful applicant will be responsible for the management of the RHRF grant cycle, build strong stakeholder relationships, facilitate timely research agreement negotiation, and project reporting, and efficient projects administration, as well as contribute to the execution of the RHRF strategic projects. This role is a critical part of the Foundation and will be actively working with the Research Operations Manager and the CEO to maintain a strong research grants program and to support the implementation of the RHRF research strategy. Key Responsibilities Effectively manage the day-to-day activities of the RHRF Research Grants Program, resolve issues in a timely manner and ensure that all grant recipients are aware of their obligations and project deliverables. Ensure that the records pertaining to all research grants are kept up to date, with all correspondence filed and recorded in the Grants Management System. Working closely with the Research Operations Manager, build collaborative relationships with Universities, Research Institutes, and other research organisations. Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures to ensure that the funding allocated to all grants is tracked, the invoices are managed on time and grant reports are actioned and filed. Assist with the development and implementation of key RHRF strategic project in conjunction with the Research Operations Manager. The role will encompass several key elements across people, processes and technology including: Project Management Teamwork/Collaborative Working Communication Initiative Multi-tasking Your Key Skills and Experience Extensive knowledge and understanding of the research sector, with a particular focus on health and medical research. A minimum of 2 years relevant work experience in research grant administration. A clear understanding of ethical, legal, and commercial requirements in relation to research grants management and operation of grant programs. Demonstrated experience in identifying and implementing process improvements. Highly developed communication skills, both written and verbal including ability to prepare reports for senior executives. Demonstrated experience in delivery of high quality, professional, customer focused services to clients. Proven ability to engage large stakeholder groups, demonstrate emotional intelligence and influence others to ensure outcomes. Capable of multi-tasking and managing multiple projects simultaneously within a small team. About Ramsay Hospital Research Foundation In 2015, Ramsay Health Care established and registered Ramsay Hospital Research Foundation (RHRF), a registered not for profit organisation. Operations of RHRF commenced in 2017, upon receipt of a core grant from the Paul Ramsay Foundation. This grant has led to the establishment of key research projects and a robust set of research programs over the past four years with a focus on mental health, health services and rehabilitation research. The core value proposition of RHRF is to fund research that will lead to actionable improvement of patient outcomes, preferencing Australian-based Ramsay hospitals/pharmacies. As RHRF evolves the foundation continues to develop key priorities in research. Currently, the key priority are cancer, mental health, cardiology and orthopaedics with a particular focus on the establishment of research that addresses key social determinants of health.
