Project Engineer - Structural About the opportunity The Project Engineer - Structural, is a full-time position, based at our Wetherill Park site.Reporting to the Compliance & Regulatory Manager this role is responsible for seeking category innovation and product improvement opportunities through the technical interpretation of regulatory requirements, competitor products and customer needs. You will use your project management, technical skills and learned knowledge to develop bespoke solutions for the technical application and installation of CSR's Masonry and Insulation products.This role actively project manages key programs, engaging and coordinating internal and external teams to deliver timely outcomes. Whilst the role is primarily office based, there will be times when you will engage with our manufacturing and marketing teams to understand the market need and take a practical, hands-on approach to lab-based experimental testing of products.We are ideally seeking qualified engineers that have a good understanding of National building & Construction codes. Some of your duties and responsibilities will include: Responsibility for creating evidence of suitability pathways and managing the testing and/or professional engineering assessment of products & systems to achieve compliance.Support the Marketing and Operations teams as the NCC (National Construction Code) subject-matter-expert for the masonry and insulation categories.Assist in the creation and verification of published technical & marketing literature, including but not limited to installation guides, brochures and website text, to ensure accuracy and relevance.Research, interrogate and translate the technical impact of the regulatory requirements for masonry and insulation products to seek opportunities for new products and systems.Provide project-specific technical support and advice for customers and CSR staff.Management and/or engagement in cross functional projects within CSR.Work closely with the National Engineering, Technical teams and Operations teams to manage product & process changes, testing and assist in the development of new products as required.Develop and present technical content for training and educational purposes as required.Participate in laboratory housekeeping and safety initiatives as required What will make you an excellent fit? Tertiary qualified structural, façade or civil Engineer would be ideal - mechanical could also be appropriate.Experience working with compliance to Standards and the National Construction Code (NCC) is desirable.Experience in engineering development of roofing, cladding and/or façade products/systems would be highly regarded.Project management experience - not essentialExperience with construction or building products or worked within a similar industry is highly desirable but not essential.Strong communication skills and can successfully network and engage with a range of stakeholders to drive outcomesGood problem solving skillsPositive disposition and collaborative team playerStrong written & verbal communication skills What's in it for you?
