THE POSITION: An opportunity currently exists for an Administrative Support Officer within the Directorate of City Development. In this role, you will provide a vast range of administrative and support services to meet business needs and ensure the efficient delivery of various programs. Administrative functions include ; Typing, data entry, document management, process reviews, preparation of statistical reports. Draft and prepare correspondence, agendas and minutes. Respond to and resolve customer enquiries, ensure provision of accurate information and the timely and effective resolution of issues. Manage financial processes for the business unit such as payment of invoices, purchase orders. Develop, implement and carry out processes as required to facilitate efficient operations across the group. To be successful in this role, you will need : Highly developed administrative skills and experience, with the ability to work in a busy and varied process-driven team. Highly developed customer service and interpersonal skills with a commitment to providing a superior customer experience. Strong time management, communication and problem solving skills in managing competing priorities. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, contributing towards a supportive, positive and high performance team. ESSENTIAL: The successful applicant should display skills and experience as outlined within the Position Description, which include ; Skills and experience in administration procedures, equipment and systems. Well developed customer service, interpersonal and communication skills to communicate with a diverse range of stakeholders in managing customer requests and meeting customer service requirements. Demonstrated skills in work task planning, problem solving and time management, handling competing priorities to adapt to fluctuating workloads and changing priorities. Experience and skills in all MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), including email and internet / databases. SALARY & EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS: Full-time permanent position, 35 hours per week. This position is a Grade 3, salary range is $64,196.00 p.a. with progression to $75,199.00 p.a. on demonstrated competencies.
