Job Description: Project Engineer - MPM Sydney Water have partnered with Delivering 4 Customers (D4C) to deliver; design, construct, maintenance and facilities management services as part of the P4S program in Sydney Water's Southern Region of Sydney. D4C is a consortium comprising of John Holland, Service Stream and WSP. We will provide long term employment opportunities to diversify the skills of the people of the southern region of Sydney as well as creating pathways to enter the water industry. D4C is seeking a Project Engineer - MPM to join their expanding team to deliver excellence in water projects across the Southern Region. Role Responsibilities: What this role will entail? Provide onsite engineering services, technical support, project management/documentation and onsite construction support to ensure successful delivery of high-volume smaller projects including meeting time, quality, and budget objectives. Typically, these projects will be of low complexity, low risk and nil or minimal design and can located across the South Region Ensure compliance of the works with technical specifications, applicable legislation, approvals and standards and D4C SQE Risk Management process Conduct and administer overall job planning, costing and programming including short range and intermediate activities for construction projects for approval by the Minor works Lead and/or Regional Maintenance and FM Lead Prepare job/cost plans for projects and submit for review and approval Prepare and maintain all project documentation as required by D4C and Sydney Water Input information and undertake minor design on site and monitor and recommend changes to design details to increase the ease of construction Exercise professional judgement in resolving engineering issues, i.e. construction methods, design, engineering procedures, etc. Demonstrate financial management skills including demonstrated behaviour in preparing costs, reducing costs, forecasting and meeting budgets Verify subcontractors' claims and variations Undertake cost controlling and estimating as required by the Minor Works Lead Essential Requirements: Tertiary qualification: Diploma or bachelor's degree in engineering, Science, Building Construction, Construction Management or equivalent Experience: Minimum 3-5 years' engineering experience Skills: Construction management and specific technical skills base relevant to program of work and discipline area Additional: White card, Current Drivers Licence This role is important to our future growth and impact.
