Moonyah AOD- bread pick up Drivers play an important role in supporting the operational side of our service/program. They are responsible for providing efficient, safe and reliable collection and delivery of all goods. What makes this role is the variety that each day brings and seeing the generosity of the community in their support of The Salvation Army. Driving and goods handling: Bringing a high level of driving capability, provide professional, safe and reliable collection/delivery and storage of goods. Vehicle care: Drivers are key in ensuring the vehicle is safe and fully operational by regularly checking tyres, fuel levels and monitoring oil and water levels. Diligently ensure vehicle is checked before each shift and rectify any issues before collecting donations, reporting issues and repairs to . Administration: Limited to filling in the vehicle log book and ensuring an identification badge and uniform is worn at all times, Communications: Ensure customers and donors are provided updates on collection/delivery times; assist with communicating to regarding any concerns that may arise or if regular service is due. Child Safety: This role is not expected to interact with children so ensure donors/customers are aware that a parent or guardian must be supervising if there are children present at the collection/delivery location.
