Role Summary AtkinsRéalis’ Engineering Design business provides multidisciplinary engineering services and integrated solutions across a wide range of projects and markets. We are in search of an Associate Structural Engineer based out of either our Sydney or Brisbane office, to support our portfolio of growing projects. This is a fantastic opportunity to take a leading role, providing input to some challenging projects within the infrastructure and renewable energy sectors. Candidates should have the right flare and ability that will help us develop and expand our structural engineering capability by building on the existing portfolio of our expanding, flexible and outward looking team that can tackle work across a broad spectrum of sectors. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Technical responsibility for Structural Engineering design delivery. Lead/manage the design of Structural Engineering works across a range of projects, including RC, Steel, and external structures such as retaining walls. Leading, managing and co-ordinating multi-disciplinary project teams to complete projects to meet client aspirations Management of project programmes, budgets and overall quality Provide leadership for our people ensuring successful management and development of engineers and technicians both in Australia and overseas Lead/Contribute to the development of complex project proposals/cost estimates and participate in the process of securing new business opportunities or expanding the scope of existing projects. Support business development and work winning / bidding activities by establishing and maintaining relationships with key existing and prospective clients Desired Skills, Experience and Capabilities Relevant Tertiary qualifications in Civil or Structural Engineering and ideally CPEng or NER Proven structural engineering design experience and strong numerical/analytical capabilities. Detailed working knowledge in the design of common structural materials as well as current design standards and working practices. Project Management - Experience and understanding of the needs and approaches to the engineering consultancy and design markets, including relationships with clients, work planning and commercial management. Excellent interpersonal and technical skills and the ability to develop, build, motivate and lead structural design teams.
