Senior Administrative Officer (Placements), School of MedicineFremantle CampusLevel 5, Part time ( 4 days per week), Continuing roleRewarding opportunity to work in the School of MedicineFriendly and collaborative environment$75,182 - $83,594 pa 13.75% super (pro-rata) ABOUT THE UNIVERSITYThe University of Notre Dame Australia is a private Catholic University with over 1,000 permanent staff providing an exceptional educational experience to over 12,000 students across our Fremantle, Broome, and Sydney campuses, as well as clinical schools in Victoria and New South Wales.ABOUT THE ROLEThe position of Senior Administrative Officer (Placements) will work closely and in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to provide effective and efficient administration support to the School of Medicine’s placements for the first and second year student in the Doctor of Medicine program. These placements are located throughout Western Australia with a focus on Aboriginal, rural and remote experiences.The incumbent will be required to utilise their administrative experience and judgement, organisational skills and excellent communication skills to support the organisation of the placements. Key ResponsibilitiesProvide effective and efficient administration and organisation of community-based placements for preclinical students in Year 1 and 2 of the Doctor of Medicine (MD) program:Wheatbelt Rural Community Engagement Program;Aboriginal Health Program On Country field trips;Kimberley Remote Area Health Placement Program;Broome Immersion Program; and Broome Learning on Country (BLOC) Programs.Develop and maintain relationships with external and community providers and health services in the regions in the development of partnerships for the placement of students.Ensure the placements are organised and allocated to students, including arranging travel and accommodation requirements.Process relevant payments to various suppliers in a timely manner and monitor expenditure related to the placements.Complete tasks and communications in an accurate and timely manner, whilst providing excellent customer service to students, staff and external stakeholders.Assist academic staff of the Preventive and Populational Health and Aboriginal Health domains with the curriculum delivery throughout the year.
