Our team is growing, we are currently recruiting for a Project Engineering Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the design, execution, and optimization of specific mineral processing projects (located largely in Africa, Australia and Asia) from conception to completion. You will lead a team of skilled engineers and specialists at the project level, collaborating closely with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. About the Role Manage and oversee engineering and design aspects of mineral processing engineering projects, including conceptual design, feasibility studies and detailed engineering for the disciplines of Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Piping, Electrical and Instrumentation. Lead a multidisciplinary team (as per above) of engineers and designers, primarily providing technical expertise as well as guidance and mentorship to ensure project objectives are met. Provide additional engineering input and collaboration with downstream project phases such as procurement, construction, commissioning, and optimization. Be responsible for technical approval and sign-off of the project’s engineering and design. Collaborate with the Discipline Engineering Managers (Mechanical / Civil & Structural / Electrical and Instrumentation) to ensure positive project outcomes from a technical and schedule perspective. Develop innovative and cost-effective solutions to complex mineral processing challenges, leveraging the latest technologies and best practices Collaborate with clients to understand their requirements, develop project scopes, and deliver customized solutions that meet or exceed expectations. Liaise with procurement and construction teams to ensure seamless project execution, optimizing resource allocation and managing project risks. Monitor project progress, budgets, and schedules, identifying potential issues and implementing corrective actions as necessary to keep projects on track. Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies, with a strong focus on health, safety, and environmental stewardship. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the team, promoting innovation, excellence, and professional development. About You A Bachelor's degree; Mechanical, Civil, Structural or Electrical Engineering. Extensive experience with discipline engineering within a mineral processing EPCM environment, with proven experience in a leadership role. Strong technical expertise in mineral processing principles, technologies, and equipment. Proven track record of successfully managing complex engineering projects from concept to completion, with a focus on safety, technical quality, and client satisfaction. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage teams and collaborate with clients and stakeholders. Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies, with a strong emphasis on planning, scheduling, and budgeting. Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices. Commitment to professional development and staying abreast of industry trends and advancements.
