We're looking to grow our teams in each area.We have plans to expand our existing team of 120 talented individuals across the East Coast of Australia and are in search for experienced, agile engineers to join us in this exciting growth phase.Role SummaryAtkinsRéalis' Engineering Design business provides multidisciplinary engineering services and integrated solutions across a wide range of projects and markets.We are in search of an Associate Civil Engineer based in either our Sydney or Brisbane office, to support our portfolio of growing projects. This is a fantastic opportunity to take a leading role, providing input to some challenging projects within the infrastructure and renewable energy sectors.The successful applicant will be a Principal or Associate Civil Engineer with a degree in either civil or structural engineering and hold chartered status with Engineer's Australia. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Technical responsibility for Civil Engineering design delivery across a range of projects, including roads, drainage, and earthworks.Leading, managing and coordinating multi-disciplinary project teams to complete projects to meet client aspirationsInspire, lead and support the technical development of the civil team as well as providing mentorship to engineers and technicians both in Australia and overseasManagement of project programmes, budgets and overall qualityLead/Contribute to the development of complex project proposals/cost estimates and participate in the process of securing new business opportunities or expanding the scope of existing projects.Support business development and work winning / bidding activities by establishing and maintaining relationships with key existing and prospective clients Desired Skills, Experience and Capabilities Proven civil engineering design experience and strong numerical/analytical capabilities.Detailed working knowledge in the design of common civil infrastructures as well as current design standards and working practices.Project Management - Experience and understanding of the needs and approaches to the engineering consultancy and design markets, including relationships with clients, work planning and commercial management.Excellent interpersonal and technical skills and the ability to develop, motivate and lead the technical excellence of our growing teamPractical problem solver and a natural lateral thinker with a desire to apply innovative civil engineering solutions across varied project typesStrong collaborative and network behaviours to interface with other disciplines and businessesGood commercial track record in negotiating and running successful jobs with experience preparing bids and tendering opportunitiesRelevant Tertiary qualifications in Civil or Structural Engineering and ideally CPEng or NERIf this role sounds like a good fit for you and you would like to expand your career with us, apply for this exciting and rewarding opportunity todayADDITIONAL INFORMATIONWe are committed to promoting a diverse and inclusive community - a place where we can all be ourselves, thrive and develop.
