State Sales Manager - Tasmania — North Hobart, Hobart

The role As the Tasmanian (Tas) Sales Manager , based in Hobart this role will see you leading a team responsible for sales, customer service and distribution across Tasmania. In this diverse and challenging role, you will contribute the strategic development of the Tas business in a highly competitive market. Working within established guidelines and with support from a national marketing team, you'll have a hands on role in representing Adbri Masonry in the residential and commercial building markets and with established retail partners. As the Tas Sales Manager, you will be accountable for providing proactive leadership and direction to the sales and customer service/despatch teams across 3 site (Hobart, Launceston and Ulverstone) through setting high performance standards, driving accountability and results, all while ensuring you help nurture a culture of collaboration and clear communication across all functions. The role is for you if you're highly motivated, results-oriented and have strong business acumen. Ideally you will have experience in a similar role and can demonstrate a track record of success in the building products sector. Responsibilities Assess the Tas market and develop and execute strategies to optimise opportunities. Develop sales targets and prepare sales and operational budgets. Analyse sales and profitability within new and existing markets and market segments Lead and coach your team to ensure sales targets and customer service standards are met. Successfully negotiate all elements of the customer relationship, ensuring consistency in all dealings Manage your own small portfolio of key customers. What you will need to succeed Demonstrated success in a sales management role, ideally within the building industry. Skills to develop, implement and execute strategic business plans. Proven ability to work independently within an established business framework. A strong focus on customer satisfaction Tertiary qualifications in commerce, business, marketing or similar discipline (preferred) Intermediate computer literacy using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint (essential) and experience with SAP (preferred) Demonstrated ability to prepare and present clear and concise reports.
