The Platforms, Integration & Data team are responsible for scoping, designing, delivering and maintaining high quality IT systems and applications to support the entire agency and our partner organisations to deliver the National Disability Insurance Scheme to our participants every day. As a DevOps Engineer you love technology; you understand the intricacies and relationships between software and infrastructure. You are no stranger in supporting operations when the need arises because of the odd critical incident. You remain calm and collected during these times, working through the issues with the team methodically and reporting back on progress. On the other hand, when you design and build, you do so with care and ensure that all work is tested to guarantee that the hand over to operations is smooth and of a high standard. Your personal success is not only driven by delivery but enabling and empowering others to work within the Office of the CIO. As such, you build key relationships with other technical teams to ensure that we deliver business value and high quality products. Duties End to end ownership of building secure CI/CD processes for various applications (Design, Build, Test, Support) Producing efficient, high-quality code/solutions for projects. Perform Code reviews for peers. Automation scripting using Shell/Python/Lambda/Javascript/Typescript Identifying areas for process improvement Support operation teams in the event of production incidents Provide knowledge and advice across technical forums. Build relationships with other technical teams supporting the function of DevOps across the agency. Every application requires to address selection criteria as part of application submission. Essential Criteria 1. Experience with container-based technologies and their deployment tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm) 2. Experience in building cloud-based infrastructure solutions in AWS & Azure 3. Experience using a range of Devops tools including but not limited to Terraform, Vault, Artifactory, Gitlab. 4. Strong understanding of identity-based security models. 5. Strong understanding of cloud network architecture 6. Have an in-depth knowledge on the relationship between software, integration and the infrastructure on which it runs. Desirable Criteria 1. Experience in delivering & managing multi-cloud networks. 2. Experience in designing and building cloud-based data and analytic solutions 3. Experience in migrating on-premise applications to the Cloud(AWS/Azure) 4. Knowledge of Devops security best practices, and detection methods.
