About the opportunity The Scientist/Bio process Engineer will be screening of mammalian cell lines for the manufacture of biologics and early-phase upstream process development using a semi-automated mini bio reactor system. Duties Planning and careful execution of experiments Accurate and timely data collection including documentation of experiments Participate in the analysis of data in conjunction with the team Author documents including experimental protocols and reports Communicate ideas and results succinctly to the team in reports and presentations Coordination of activities with other parts of the Research and Product Development organisations 50% lab work – semi automated system Monitoring of process and analyse data in real time and make decisions to change the process so quick thinking is needed Making buffers 50% office based – partially programming a robot experience in this would be beneficial Data analysis – JMP for statistical planning and analysis Presenting in lab meetings and wider R&D community Coordination with other departments Skills and Experience Degree in Life Science or Bio process Engineer (PhD preferred) Must have prior experience in working with Bio reactors before Excellent communication skills Ideally 2-4 years of experience in Data analysis Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills High level of detail orientation Culture Although a large, global company, they are able to provide a family-like culture and prides itself in improving the lives of others.
