Position title: Senior Software Engineer / Atlassian Software Engineer Reports to: Technology Design and Operations Manager Location - Melbourne - CBD Duration - 5 months Position purpose The Senior Software Engineer (Atlassian Products) is a detail-oriented engineering position for a specialist in the configuration, scripting and management of Atlassian technologies to work closely with product and project managers to uplift and improve the configuration of Atlassian systems to support our operating model for project delivery and systems support. The focus of this role will include: Recommendation of Atlassian implementation to achieve support for stated business activity. Simplifying the dropdown categories for Resolutions and Priorities by removing excess options. Prior to moving forward, taking action to calculate and brief on potential data loss. Reporting and data extract of permissions across entire platform, followed by scripted mass application or migration to new permissions model. Data extract and mass migration of projects to new common workflows. Creation of internal Confluence templates and databases to support centralised sources for knowledge storage. Key responsibilities include configuring, maintaining, and upgrading Atlassian cloud software, managing user access and permissions, and customising tools to meet team requirements. This role also provides essential support and training to users, enabling them to leverage Atlassian products effectively. The role demands technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and strong communication to ensure that our project management infrastructure meets the organization's needs and supports our goals. Accountabilities System Configuration and Maintenance: Setting up, configuring, and maintaining Atlassian tools to meet the specific needs of the organization. This includes creating project templates, configuring workflows, fields, screens, permissions, and notification schemes in Jira, as well as spaces in Confluence.
