Unlike a typical Early Learning Centre, we are open for 50 weeks in a year, Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 6:00pm. About the role The role of the Child Care Educator, in the Early Learning Centre (ELC) is to assist the Director/Teacher and the team in providing high quality care and education for children in a community preschool setting for 3–5-year-olds. Duties Assisting the room teacher with the implementation of a well-planned and evaluated program for 3–5-year-olds, using the Early Years Framework. Developing a positive and supportive relationship with children. Maintaining a safe and hygienic environment. Working with the team to ensure a compliant centre as per the Education and Care Services Regulations Establishing and maintaining good relationships with families. Requirements Certificate III qualifications and experience in Early Childhood Education Current First Aid and CPR Certificate Current Asthma and Anaphylaxis Completion of Identify & report children and young people at risk (CHCPRT025) Current and valid Working with Children Check clearance.
