Work for an employer who values you & believe its people are their best assets Professional Development - Grow your career across our National network About the role We are seeking a full or part-time Receptionist/Administration Clerk to work in our Ballina Day Surgery on a rotating roster between the hours of 6:30 am - 6:30 pm Monday to Friday. About You We are seeking a highly organised, enthusiastic administrative professionals to join our Administration team. To be successful you will be a well-presented individual who possesses excellent communication skills and enjoys being part of a busy environment. The ability to converse and be empathetic while managing a busy flow of admissions and discharges is a key skill needed for this role Responsibilities of this job may include: Admission scheduling processes to ensure appropriate bed management and utilisation All administrative duties associated with patient preadmissions, admissions and discharges including health fund eligibility checks and estimations Compilation and management of patient admission papers and clinical notes Managing incoming and outgoing calls to the front desk Providing a high level of professional customer service to patients, visitors and internal stakeholders, whilst maintaining confidentiality Responding to patient and doctor queries in a timely manner Work alongside medical staff, colleagues, patients and visitors to ensure a smooth hospital experience for patients You will bring; Prior experience in a reception's role, ideally within the healthcare/medical industry Strong Administrative/secretarial skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills High attention to detail and ability to complete tasks within designated timeframes Proficient in Microsoft Office Exceptional time management and organisational skills, with the ability to multi-task Excellent customer service skills, in person and on the phone Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently Ability to work in a fast paced environment and maintain a harmonious environment within the team Desirable: Experience in a medical setting will be highly desired, though not essential Experience with Patient Management Systems, ideally Meditech, is highly desired Previous Health Fund knowledge About the Organisation Owned and operated by Ramsay Health Care, Australia's largest and most respected private hospital operator, The Ballina Day Surgery is a dedicated day procedure centre located centrally in the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales.
