JOB DESCRIPTION: Parliamentary Services has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, experienced administrator to work with a collaborative, small Human Resources (HR) team in a unique environment at the Parliament of Western Australia. This full-time 12-month contract position provides a variety of administrative support across the many facets of HR, including recruitment and selection, onboarding processes, preparation of employment contracts, database management, policy, Work Health and Safety, and training and development. This role will suit an enthusiastic customer focused professional with an interest in continuous improvement, strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise effectively. SELECTION CRITERIA: The successful applicant will need to meet the following selection criteria: Essential • Completion of Year 12 • Experience undertaking generalist human resources administration duties, including experience using a HRIMS. • Highly competent in the use of contemporary information technology including Microsoft Office, Word and Excel. • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills with a strong customer focus. • Excellent organisation and time management skills. • Ability to deal with confidential and sensitive information and act with discretion. • Demonstrated ability to understand and apply industrial instruments, legislation, policies, and procedures. • Willingness to support and embrace the department’s values.
