As well as local football, hockey, golf, cricket and tennis clubs etc. - Relocation Assistance provided if required What Success Looks Like: Recent increase in product demand has seen the section move to 24/7 operation. Working within the Explosives Manufacturing team, this role will ensure efficient, safe, and cost-effective production. The incumbent will develop sound knowledge of the manufacturing process and develop strong relationships with cross-functional teams that oversee equipment maintenance. Key Activities and Responsibilities include: • Work closely with the Senior Production Engineer to develop strategic direction and initiate operational improvements • Ensure compliance with all relevant Facility policies, systems, processes – in particular Explosives Safety Manual and Special Rules, Management of Change, Engineering protocols and Work Authorisation Systems • Design, develop, install, commission, run and proof production and process lines and layouts and associated equipment for safe and successful production of explosive and quality goods for Thales Australia’s customers • Actively support and assist with the implementation of best practice manufacturing techniques To excel in this role, you will need: • Tertiary qualified in a chemical or mechanical discipline and have demonstrated professional experience in a manufacturing environment • An understanding of Lean methodologies and practices is desirable • The ability to work across a 7/7 roster on both day and night shifts Benefits Thales: • Employee discounts with a number of affiliates (Travel, Car hire, Tech) • Fitness Passport discount • Modernised Paid Parental leave • Veterans Leave Good to Know You’ll get an email acknowledgement after you’ve applied, Thales strives to provide a personalised experience for all suitable applicants.
