Job Description Our Rail Team are critical to our operational success around Australia, and in Perth. As the final stop on the East to West journey, our Perth team ensure once our freight trains have arrived in our yard from their long journey across the Nullarbor, that the wagons and containers are safely separated and shunted to the multiple warehouses and areas on site. Working closely with our Operational teams - our Rail Team once again work their magic to rebuild the train of wagons and containers, before it heads back over east. We are looking for qualified Train Drivers and Shunters to join our team, and be instrumental in the success of our train arrivals and departures daily. Reporting to the Rail Operations Manager for WA, the position includes the following responsibilities: Ensuring safe and efficient shunting activities, in line with policy, procedure and legislation. Proactive approach and commitment to safety in the workplace Ensure compliance with all of SCT’s WHS policies, procedures and applicable state and federal legislation Adhering to timelines, schedules and work instructions. A strong customer focus orientation Ability to work in a team Conduct themselves in a manner that ensures SCT Rail is recognised as a safe, reliable and quality supplier of rail related services Desired Skills and Experience The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate: Minimum 2 years’ experience working in rail operations. Shunting and/or Train Driving Qualifications (such as Certificate 2 in Shunting, Certificate 3 in Terminal Train Driving, or Certificate 4 in Train Driving).
