About the role Paraburdoo Mine Production Engineering team is currently seeking 2 Mine Production Engineers to join the team on an 8/6 roster. Reporting to the Senior Production Engineer you will: Work closely with the operations team to drive improvement projects with a specific focus on safety, productivity, and asset utilisation Provide support to Mine Operations and Mine Technical Services teams Collaborate with internal partners across Mine Technical Services, Dewatering, Fixed Plant, Integrated Operations and Mobile Equipment Maintenance to achieve the mine plan Support Mine Operations and mine technical services teams to ensure optimisation of the mine plans Support Capital Projects team with requested Mining projects Support Mine Operations data analysis and reporting Provide Contract Management Supervision Provide support to AHS coaches and interns What you will bring To succeed in this role, you will have: A strong personal commitment to safety and values of care, curiosity, and courage. A manual 'C' class driver's licence. Proficiency in data analytics and reporting platform such as Power BI and Microsoft Excel (macros, pivot tables, etc.) Degree in Mining engineering or a relevant field. Minimum 2 years mining experience in a relevant department. Proficiency in computer skills (Microsoft Office: Word Document, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI) Ability to lead and drive safety & productivity improvement projects. Ability to multi-task and prioritise tasks to achieve desired outcomes. Ability to work efficiently within a team environment, but also take ownership of the tasks and work independently. Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills. Highly Regarded: Quarry manager ticket or ability to obtain one. Previous work on major mining projects in an EPCM setting. Even better if you have experience in autonomous haulage transition, rollout and commissioning. Sound understanding of AHS FrontRunner and Fleet management systems. Ability to understand and follow mine plans, development priorities & design sheets. Experience across production, drill and blast, and dewatering. Sound understanding of RTIO systems and processes including productivity reporting. Previous leadership experience. We are looking for 2x Production Engineer's to develop, lead and manage productivity and cost improvement initiatives at our Paraburdoo mine site. These roles are a great opportunity for individuals who wish to further their knowledge of all functions within the operations space and gain leadership exposure within the mine operations team. Moreover this is for someone who is willing to think outside of the box, challenge the status quo and drive change Working in this collaborative, challenging, and exciting environment, reporting to the Senior Production Engineer, you will be: Leading projects on behalf of the mine operations team which may include but are not limited to productivity, asset utilisation, cost reductions, safety, and short/mid term horizon capital projects Engaging with key stakeholders and building relationships with mining technical services, dewatering, fixed plant and mobile equipment maintenance teams to deliver required business outcomes Demonstrating leadership and set the example across the 5 pillars (safety, people, production, cash & partnership) within the mine operations team A leader of the Critical Risk Management (CRM) processes and demonstrate its ideals on a daily basis Coordinating and supporting PMO productivity initiatives within mine operations team, establishing best practice Provide appropriate coaching, mentoring and technical support to Superintendents, Supervisors and MTS Engineers About you To succeed in this role, you will have: A manual C Class drivers licence Experience in mine engineering or mine production roles in open pit mining operations including mine planning, and drill & blast design would be beneficial Excellent communication and relationship building skills The motivation and ability to be self-driven and work autonomously It will also be beneficial if you have: Demonstrated data analysis & presentations skills using SQL databases, PowerBI, Power apps and equivalent systems Experience with autonomous truck and drill systems A tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or related discipline If you are excited about the role and think you have what it takes but your experience doesn't align 100% we still want to hear from you.
