At Hub Australia, we're embarking on an ambitious journey to revolutionise coworking spaces for professionals and forward-thinking businesses. As our National Programme and Design Manager (12-Month Maternity Leave Cover), you will play a critical role in ensuring that all new venues are delivered on time, within budget, and to our exceptional design standards. You're tasked with spearheading the technical due diligence, design, specification, procurement, construction, and delivery of new locations, as well as continuously enhancing our existing spaces.This role is opened to candidates located in Melbourne or Sydney. Your day to day: A glimpse into what your day as the National Programme and Design Manager will look like (but not limited to): Dive into the latest design trends, seeking inspiration to infuse our spaces with creativity and functionality that elevates. Map out the journey for upcoming projects, from site selection to grand opening. You'll collaborate with architects, designers, and contractors, ensuring every detail aligns with our high quality standards and sustainability goals. Engage in meaningful conversations with internal teams, external partners, and suppliers. Your knack for negotiation and relationship building ensures we secure the best terms and maintain a network of premium service providers. Monitor the progress of ongoing constructions and refurbishments with a keen eye, ensuring milestones are met and budgets are adhered to. You’ll troubleshoot challenges on the fly, applying your expertise to keep projects on track. Champion our commitment to sustainability, integrate sustainability practices and materials into our projects, reinforcing Hub’s position as a leader in responsible business practices. Lead your team through the complexities of project management, offering guidance, support, and mentorship. Review feedback on recently completed spaces, identifying opportunities for enhancement. Are you someone with a visionary approach to workspace design? Do you possess a unique blend of creativity, strategic thinking, and practical problem solving abilities? Your ability to anticipate industry trends and adapt our designs to meet these evolving demands will be critical. We value a profound dedication to enhancing the member experience through thoughtful and innovative design, ensuring every project aligns with our standards of excellence and sustainability. You should also have: A robust background in property development, architecture, interior design, or a related field, with at least 7 years of experience in managing high-profile design and construction projects. Experience in hospitality projects (café, bars, restaurants, hotels) is highly regarded Demonstrated expertise in leading projects from concept to completion, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for creating inspiring spaces. Strong leadership skills with experience in managing teams and working collaboratively across different departments. A commitment to sustainability and an understanding of the latest trends in eco-friendly design and construction.
