As a MineStar Sales Support Representative, you will report to the Asia-Pacific Area Manager and be an integral part of the regional Caterpillar team assisting with sales and fostering relationships with internal stakeholders as well as Cat Dealers across this region. Your role will involve direct engagement with surface and underground technology opportunities, providing technical, commercial and administrative assistance throughout the entire opportunity lifecycle. Your primary objective is to support Dealer activities and internal stakeholders, to help achieve annual operating goals. Your day-to-day activities will include but not limited to, creation of quotations and management of sales opportunities in Salesforce, driving accurate supply chain demand signals, monitoring Subscription Purchase Agreements and aiding in the increase of Dealer development across the MineStar Solutions portfolio of products and services. You'll collaborate closely with the existing team members across the Asia-Pacific territory to ensure strong relationships and excellent Dealership satisfaction. You'll assist in monitoring annual business plans and marketing campaigns, whilst collaborating with commercial support and product teams to create compelling offers and programs. You might also participate in trade shows, customer association events and other strategic activities aligned with our product and sales strategies. Success in this role hinges on your ability to grasp mining customer value drivers, with a focus on both surface and underground mining applications. Job Duties: - Supporting Dealer activities and internal stakeholders, to achieve annual operating goals - Supporting regional team members with post-sales administration - Execution of market research activities - Regularly track and report progress of regional sales targets via Salesforce CRM - Ensure Salesforce opportunities are up to date across all MineStar products, helping to drive timely demand signals through to Supply Chain - Engage in monthly forecast review meetings, for both surface and underground sales excellence programs - Support the development of new markets, awareness of and industry trends and competitive intelligence - Participate actively in dealer development endeavors - Participate in customer/dealer training events and provide support where required - Maintain internal awareness of commercial programs and campaigns Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in marketing, business, finance, information systems, engineering, or relevant experience - Experience in commercial, marketing, operational technology, information technology, or the mining industry Top Candidate Qualifications: - Understanding of mining technology and its value proposition - Proactive individual with sound commercial judgment, analytical skills, future leadership capabilities and strong communication skills - Exposure to Dealer/Channel management - Exposure to project and or business development - Experience with PowerBi or equivalent reporting/analytics tools - Familiarity with Caterpillar Dealer organization, competitive merchandising programs, and mining operational value drivers - Ability to work independently in a dynamic field environment - Prior experience in the mining industry or a mining engineering background is advantageous Additional Information: - Locations for consideration are Perth or Brisbane, Australia - Relocation support or visa sponsorship is not available for this position - This role involves up to 30% domestic and international travel Posting Dates: February 29, 2024 - March 16, 2024 Caterpillar is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EEO).
