If so, this rewarding role may be for you In this exciting and challenging role, you will support and enable the self-determination reform agenda across DEECA through the implementation of Pupangarli Marnmarnepu ‘Owning Our Future' – Aboriginal Self-Determination Reform Strategy 2020-2025. Accountabilities of this role will include, implementing the Traditional Owner and Aboriginal Community Engagement Framework, engaging and leading key initiatives that support partnerships with Traditional Owners, preparing details project work, and supporting the implementation of communication and engagement strategies for capability and cultural development projects and programs. Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Victorian Aboriginal cultures and societies and ability to communicate effectively with Aboriginal people. Experience in drawing upon research and evidence about what it takes to effectively engage Aboriginal people and builds Aboriginal community capacity with a community development approach. This is an ongoing position. The work location for this position is 8 Nicholson Street, East Melbourne with hybrid work arrangements available.
