The Company Our client is a well-known and leading retail business based in Melbourne. We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join our team for a 3-month contract to assist with an upcoming audit for a large retail business. This role will offer you the chance to gain retail experience, and working holiday visa holders are welcome to apply. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be tasked with assisting the finance team with month-end duties while being the key point of contact for the upcoming audit. The Role This role will be reporting to the Finance Manager and duties will include but not limited to, General financial accounting duties within the finance team. Assisting with the preparation and execution of audit plans and procedures. Conduct audit testing of specified areas and identify deficiencies. Document audit findings and recommendations in a clear and concise manner. Communicate audit findings to the audit team and management. Assist with other audit-related tasks as needed Your Profile Big 4 audit trained or audit experience. CA or CPA qualification preferred. Working holiday visa applicants encouraged to apply. Strong understanding of audit concepts and practices. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
