The Project The CPB Contractors, Ghella & UGL joint venture has been successful in securing the contract to deliver the $3.1bn M6 Stage 1 project. The project will deliver the missing link from Sydney's south to the wider Sydney motorway network making journeys easier, faster and safer. It will remove more than 2,000 trucks a day from surface roads and help return local streets to local communities. With works commenced in 2022, the M6 Stage 1 project scope includes the construction of twin four-kilometre tunnels and associated works, linking the M8 Motorway at Arncliffe to President Avenue at Kogarah. The Opportunity We are currently seeking applications for a Design Coordinator in our Design and Engineering team on the Project This role will be responsible for the following: Assist the Design Manager to plan and control the delivery of project design to ensure the achievement of quality, completion and profit objectives Monitor and evaluate the work of designers allocated to the project to ensure that their progress meets requirements Assist in the design approval process by coordinating issue resolution Assist with the client and stakeholder expectations and communicate effectively with the project team Collate information and report against budgets Understand design compliance and reporting procedures and processes Review designs in line with statutory and legislative, construction and operational requirements Facilitate the resolution of any design issues from a technical and/or construction perspective Monitor and assist in any Design Change Requests About You Bachelors Degree in engineering High level of conceptual and analytical skills Problem Solving skills Communication and Interpersonal Skills Critical Thinking and Analytical Ability The successful candidate will be required to hold a current Construction Industry Induction Card (White Card or equivalent) and undergo a medical assessment (including drug and alcohol testing) prior to commencement.
