Advertised Vacancy Number: IPS/TCH880869 This is a permanent part-time (0.4FTE) position commencing Term 2, 2024 Dianella Primary College (PC) are seeking a passionate and energetic Primary Spanish Teacher to join our team. To be successful you should ideally be highly motivated, team-focused, and student-centred with qualities that promote, build, and maintain enthusiasm and engagement with language learning. You should possess excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills, and the ability to work in a highly collaborative manner. Previous experience with teaching primary level languages will be highly regarded. The learning environment you create should be engaging, challenging, caring and cater for a range of needs, promoting student achievement. Teachers who have additional expertise in key school approaches will be viewed favourably. These approaches include Classroom Management Strategies (CMS), co-operative learning, up to date evidence-based classroom practices and positive behaviour approaches. You should have a strong knowledge and commitment to the outcomes of the West Australian Curriculum. Dianella PC has a diverse school population, with approximately 80% of our school population coming from an English as an additional Language/Dialect (EALD) background. We have an onsite Intensive English Centre (IEC) and as a school we utilise the EALD progress maps to guide planning in our IEC program and for EALD students in our mainstream classes.
