The Role The opportunity exists for an experienced Site Engineer to join and contribute to our team and manage aspects of our latest educational project valued at $120M as a part of a long-standing client relationship. Reporting to the Project Engineer, this is a quick project to get under your belt and is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the current growth of our industrial division here at HY. Responsibilities include Assist with Design Management including monitoring of consultants, planners, and quantity surveyors to deliver outcomes that meet the brief and budget. Project and contract management during construction to ensure that the projects are completed on time, within budget, quality, safety, and environmental requirements. The tasks include site meetings, site inspections, formal and informal correspondences with the contractor and other stakeholders. Be a key member for the handover and commissioning phase for assigned projects. Prepare detailed and accurate reports for management and other internal stakeholders. Monitoring and reporting on the compliance of the works. Undertake risk assessments and formalise processes with contractors and stakeholders. What’s Needed 2 / 3 years post-graduate experience with a commercial builder in Australia. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Science, Building Construction, or equivalent. A strong understanding of design drawings and technical specifications. Professional, strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels. Effective time management skills, including sequencing of work and resource management. Strong attention to detail and understanding of high-standard compliance.
