Job Description What you will do As the Product Desinger (Fixed Term Contract), this is your opportunity to consolidate our existing separate mobile and desktop experiences into one responsive user experience. You will increase development efficiency by aligning to a shared solution and design framework, rising to consumer expectations of ease and consistency in using carsales. Your design will be a fully responsive site (and Native apps) optimised for SEO with a distinctly more simplified look and feel and be a big part of something big. Define and lead in the development of new concepts and solutions to improve the carsales products at every step of the user’s experience journey. Understand user problems and uncover product pain points to design considered interfaces that meet business requirements and the needs of the end user. Conduct research and user testing studies to represent key insights that will help influence decisions and directions. Iteratively create interaction flows, wireframes, high-fidelity prototypes and finely crafted visual design mock-ups. Confidently present design concepts to various stakeholders and teams across the business. Collaborate with product development and other teams to set realistic expectations for project scope, delivery timeframes whilst maintaining quality standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and product strategists, technical leads and developers, where you’ll make recommendations for the best possible outcome. Working with the carsales design system to consistently improve design patterns and create new ones where required, knowledge of native mobile design patterns across iOS and Android is a must have skill for this role.
