About the role: A highly rewarding opportunity to join Box Hill Institute as one of our Teachers within the Faculty of Health, Community and Animals We are currently seeking applications from candidates with a current TAE qualification (TAE40116) and industry experience within Health Services Assistance and/or Operating Theatre Technicians. Within this role you will be providing high quality and innovative course materials and teaching delivery to domestic and international students. You will be delivering planned lessons using a variety of methods including Moodle to engage students and meet their learning styles and needs. These positions report to the Course Coordinator and are responsible for liaising with students, relevant industry groups, health services providers, overseas partners and employees of BHI at all levels. You will have the rewarding opportunity to guide students through their courses, supporting their success and improving their employment/education pathways. Health Programs of the Faculty of Health, Community and Animals, are part of the Educational Delivery division, provides accredited programs at certificate levels in the areas of health services, operating theatre technicians, dental assisting, allied health, hospital pharmacy and aged care. Please note; this role is a 13 week casual opportunity with potential to convert the position to part time or full time. Salary is in line with the current MEA. About You: TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or a qualification at diploma level or higher in Adult Education Relevant industry experience Ability to design and deliver engaging and relevant course materials and lessons Experience understanding adult learning principles and ability to utilise learning management systems Ability to demonstrate leadership within the classroom; motivate and guide students to optimise their learning outcomes, manage difficult and sensitive topics and questions and identify potential and existing issues and setbacks; working to resolve any issues Passionate about knowledge sharing and ability to work within a team, contributing to the positive work environment and culture Proven ability to be readily adaptable to changing circumstances within the classroom Highly supportive and compassionate with a commitment to continuous improvement and high level communication About Us: We are proud to be a leading education provider with a strong reputation for delivering high quality educational outcomes.
