At Falls Creek Early Childhood Centre our ‘Out the Gate’ program provides our Early Childhood Teacher the unique opportunity to create and implement a magical program that revolves around the seasonal changes and flora & fauna at the Falls Creek Alpine Resort. We are seeking an experienced Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) who is creative, passionate, and enthusiastic about providing high-quality and a stimulating education program to our ‘youngest community members’ at our small but charming licenced childcare centre. We invite our ECT to bring fresh ideas, as well as tried and tested practices to the centre and lead our team of educators to provide an engaging day of fun learning and entertainment. Key responsibilities: • When nominated, be a “Responsible Person” in day to day charge • Lead the with the program design, implementation and evaluation of the Educational Program, in consultation with the educational team. • Lead the Kindergarten program, meeting curriculum and funding requirements e.g. Face to face teaching for kindergarten hours (600 hours per calendar year). • Build and maintain positive relationships with children, families, educators, and staff to deliver best outcomes for families and children. • Contribute to the professional identity of the Centre, raising the quality of the education program and practice in our community, in line with the centre’s philosophy. • Adhere to regulatory and licensing compliance. Our Early Childhood Teacher reports directly to the Early Childhood Education & Care Manager and leads the Senior Educators and Educators in relation to the educational program. Under the Victorian Early Childhood Teacher Incentives program, the successful ECT may be eligible for financial incentives. Bachelor of Early Childhood Services (ACECQA approved), a current police check, a valid working with children’s check or VIT, Level 2 first aid, asthma/ anaphylaxis management certificates, and current CPR, and Child Protection Training Demonstrated knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and/or My Time Our Place Framework, Education and Care Services National Law (2010), Education and Care Services National Regulations (2011), Family Assistance Law (Child Care Subsidy 2018; Child Safe Standards; National Quality Standards; ECA Code of Ethics A whizz when it comes to using Microsoft 365, Office & industry-related software such as StoryPark and Kid Soft. Demonstrated experience in planning and structuring learning in both indoor and outdoor environments, using a variety of materials and equipment to facilitate children’s development. Experience in leadership of small teams and mentoring of team members. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
