The role of Biomedical Engineer provides high quality biomedical services to wards and departments in relation to carrying out of preventative maintenance, breakdown services and front-line support. This will ensure equipment is maintained at optimum operation and clinical staff have the required technical support in a manner which is consistent with Epworth's mission and values.The Epworth Biomedical Engineering team consists of dedicated engineers with on-site departments at Epworth Richmond, Freemasons (East Melbourne), Eastern (Box Hill) and Geelong. This full-time or part-time role will be based in Richmond and you will be part of the Biomedical Engineering team and report to the Biomedical Engineering manager.You will make an impact by:Providing high quality Biomedical services to clinical wards and departmentsPerforming equipment repairs and preventative maintenance to a high standard in line with manufacturers specifications and Australian StandardsProviding excellent customer service to key stake holdersBeing a team player with strong customer service focusTo be successful in this role… You will use your previous experience to deliver excellent biomedical services and thrive in a fast-paced environment. You will be a key member of a committed, dynamic team and work harmoniously with your co-workers and customers showing respect and compassion. You will have a strong attention to detail and be quick to learn and adapt.Position Description Inherent RequirementsQualificationsYou will have:A Biomedical Engineering degree, or similar, from an approved tertiary institutionMinimum 4 years experience in the Biomedical Engineering fieldExperience in a hospital based setting with exposure to a wide range of medical equipmentSound technical skillsKnowledge of relevant Australian StandardsAccurate record keeping skills with previous experience using an asset management systemAdditional InformationAt Epworth, it’s a community.
