The project will deliver a major upgrade of the M80 Ring Road between the M80-Plenty Road interchange and the North East Link tunnel entrance at Watsonia, providing a seamless connection to North East Link. Works includes 2km of new freeway upgrade, 3km of new freeway, separation of local roads from the freeway, bulk earthworks, retaining walls, bridge structures, rail interface works, intelligent transport systems, urban design and landscaping. This diverse and challenging project will be complete in 2028. Key accountabilities for the position You will be responsible for planning and managing the delivery of construction design and providing technical support to construction methodologies to ensure the achievement of the M80RR Alliance objectives. This is multi-disciplinary role where you will need expertise in management of a range of packages of work not limited to rail, roads, structures & bridges, temporary works, & utilities, Manage, plan and control the delivery of construction design and technical support to ensure the achievement of Alliance Objectives. Manage the interaction of project members in the design development and construction delivery process, including design, construction, planning, environment, sustainability, quality Temporary Works, Traffic Engineering, and Systems Engineering. Review and influence Design and Construction Methodologies to optimise outcomes. Coordinate the Change Management Process Monitor and evaluate the work of technical service providers to ensure that their progress meets requirements. Assist in the design and construction approval process by coordinating issue resolution. Manage Engineering project resourcing and coordination of internal and external service providers. Management and coordination of client and stakeholder requirements and expectations and communicate effectively with the project team. Manage work and performance of subcontractors engaged by the Engineering Team. Required Skills and Competencies Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent Excellent planning, negotiation, problem solving & leadership skills.
