About the Role: To be responsible for the education and care of children To provide an innovative and culturally appropriate program that assists the overall development of individual children. To provide safe, high quality and planned care and education to the children in line with the Education and Care Services National Law Act 2010; Education and Care Services National Regulations 2011; Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework; and the National Quality Framework The casual positions will work across 5 of Banyule's managed and owned services, which consists of 3 Long Day Care and 2 standalone kindergartens. Hours will vary between each service. Ideally, we are looking for causal staff who have flexibility with hours and are able to work 5 days per week. Skills, experience and certificates: Successful completion of Certificate III (Mandatory). Current, recognised First Aid and Anaphylaxis and Asthma Certificates are essential. Knowledge of the Education and Care Service National Law Act (2010) and Education and Care Service National Regulations (2011). Knowledge of the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework Awareness of cultural needs of families. Effective communication with families, professionals, and people from diverse socio-economic and ethnic backgrounds. Conflict management skills. Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment. Driver's licence.
