The key duties of the position include The Role Perform straightforward operational, procedural, administrative and business support tasks and maintain accurate records and files in accordance with relevant Defence work practices, procedures and policies. Acquire and apply the skills, knowledge and experience necessary to provide advice and services for a range of straightforward operational, procedural, administrative and business support activities. Build and sustain relationships with team members, stakeholders and actively participate in team work and group activities. Listen to internal and external stakeholders and respond under limited direction to changes in stakeholder needs and expectations to achieve outcomes. Collect and consolidate data and information and provide assistance in the preparation of written submissions, reports and other correspondence for internal and external stakeholders. Select the appropriate course of action to progress work to meet business objectives, seek advice and guidance on more complex issues. About our Team Working within Navy Aviation Systems Program Office, you will be a key team member within the Business Management Unit (BMU). This team delivers consistently high standards of outputs for our primary customer Fleet Air Arm and each role within this team contributes to supporting the delivery of capability. The BMU unit is responsible for coordination of NASPO's business planning cycle; task management and oversight; coordination of the Business Management System, coordination of quality activities, performance measurement and reporting. Individuals in this team, work collaboratively to provide governance and assurance within a framework of legislation, Defence policies and practices. Our Ideal Candidate To be successful in this role you will need to have excellent customer service skills and will need to network with a wide variety of customers and stakeholders. You will need a good level of computer literacy including MS Word, Excel and Outlook. Skills, experience and understanding of general business administration processes and functions would be a benefit. Problem solving and time-management skills would be highly desirable. You will undertake your role in accordance with legislation and Defence policies. Business activities will be completed with a focus on efficiency and continual improvement. With an eye for detail, you will manage the priorities and needs of the customers to meet and exceed their expectations, whilst working in a fluid environment by remaining flexible, agile and adaptable
