The Supply Chain Management team provides a nationally coordinated and consistent approach to election materials management and logistics across the AEC. This team is responsible for maintaining key election materials through effective contract management, quality assurance and improvement projects. The key duties of the position include The Senior Project Officer supervises the operation of the Hume warehouse and supports the Assistant Director to ensure an application of best practice and knowledge in the oversight of warehouse operations. The role is responsible for undertaking work that is complex and/or sensitive in nature under limited direction, utilising expertise, and knowledge in warehouse management with a key focus on safety. The role is also responsible in ensuring it influences processes to ensure alignment between the AEC's strategic direction and Supply Chain Management best practices. To excel you'll have: A minimum of two years' experience in warehouse operations at the management or supervisor level Extensive knowledge of logistics processes including warehousing, inventory management and related transport activities and experience in problem resolution pertaining to warehousing, logistics and freighting services. Demonstrated experience in the maintenance of an industry standard warehouse management system, including on-site and third-party stock management. Demonstrated high level experience in developing distribution plans including demand analysis and both push and pull inventory management systems. Demonstrated experience in the management of WHS in warehouse operations, including conducting risk analyses and developing safe work procedures and ability to work to deadlines and achieve targets. Ability to communicate with influence both verbally and in writing and to engage with multiple stakeholders and how to lead and manage staff. Demonstrated ability to provide technical and specialised advice relating to warehouse operations to support governance and compliance documentation such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and WHS processes, including continuous improvement of warehouse operations. Desirable: High level Microsoft Office skills Contract and vendor management experience. Knowledge of, or ability to, quickly gain knowledge of Australian electoral law and practice. Current valid Forklift Truck licence
