No. 21574 Mount Isa Mines are currently advertising a Mechanical Engineer vacancy that exists in the Assets and Engineering Department. This role will see you become an integral part of Smelter Projects team. This role is residentially based in Mount Isa, working a 5/2 4/3 roster. Learn more about Mount Isa Mines at www.mountisamines.com.au The successful candidate you will have: Tertiary Qualification in Mechanical Engineering with 2-5 years mining and/or construction industry experience Project Management experience will be high regarded Working within a team environment, however demonstrate the ability to work autonomously A strong safety culture and work ethic are fundamental to your success in the role. Strong interpersonal and communication skills Working across two plants this role would include: Capital Projects delivery including scoping, design, project management and installation. Budget and schedule control Performing engineering calculations, design reviews, and conducting risk assessments Managing external suppliers, and ensuring compliance with site and statutory standards Building relationships with end users to provide practical and pragmatic engineering solutions Completion and reporting on planned and ad-hoc safety inspections and audits.
