Permanent full-time role Salary: $91,000 to $95,000 per annum (FTE) inclusive of annual leave loading plus superannuation Based in Hilton on the city fringe Car parking on-site What you'll do As the Civil Design Officer you will be responsible for providing survey data, design and contract administration to enable the following works: Annual capital works program including construction/reconstruction of footways, cycle paths and kerbing and the reconstruction/resealing of Council's local road network Special projects Traffic control devices Stormwater drainage Reserve redevelopment Car parks Other civil engineering works You will undertake survey design services in line with budgetary, time and quality requirement in addition to ensuring designs are environmentally sound and include the latest engineering best practices. Who you are If you have civil design and CAD experience, combined with strong communication, negotiation and contract administration experience, ideally within Local Government, we would like to hear from you. You must also have the following essential qualification(s): Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or similar discipline Work Zone Traffic Management licence In addition, in accordance with the requirements of this role, a National Police Clearance (within six months of issue) and a current Class C Driver's Licence will be required as part of the recruitment process.
