The key duties of the position include The Role You will have the unique opportunity to interface with Defence's Senior leaders and gain a strong understanding of governance within Defence. The role will provide administrative support and assistance to Defence's Enterprise Committees. This will include overseeing the day-to-day enterprise committee functions, including stakeholder engagement, development of strategic documentation, and facilitation and support of high-level meetings. You will collaborate with a high performing and inclusive team to support the following Enterprise Committees: Defence Committee, Investment Committee, Chiefs of Service Committee, Strategic Policy Committee Enterprise Business Committee. They will display initiative, have a strong attention to detail and be committed to providing consistent, high-quality support, as well as: Proven written and verbal communication skills to provide and assure quality outputs; Build and maintain strong working relationships across the Department including liaising with internal and external stakeholders; Flexibility to adjust to shifting strategic priorities and risks in a fast-paced environment; Exercise initiative to deliver high quality outcomes and support the strategic direction of the team; Work effectively both independently and as part of a large team; Display leadership and be accountable for mentoring and supporting junior team members; Demonstrate high ethical standards, integrity and discretion due to the sensitivity of material accessed; and Previous experience in administration and customer service is desirable.
