The Company Our client is a global, well established, Iconic importer and distributor of Shade products for the retail, residential and commercial markets. This role is based from their main warehouse in Prospect, NSW and they are seeking to employ a standout Warehouse Manager to assist in their plans for growth and also relocation to a brand new site in a couple of years. The Role Reporting into the Operations Manager your role will be to manage the day to day running of the warehouse and permanent & contract staff. The role is hands on and you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all warehouse activities, ensuring efficient and smooth operations across the distribution process. You will manage and report on inventory levels and you will lead and manage your team, maintaining a high level of accuracy, safety, cleanliness and productivity, while helping to streamline and improve processes and best practices. Skills Required: ● Previous experience (5 years ) of working in a similar Warehouse Management Role - Retail / Wholesale industry preferred. ● Strong people management skills and experience and ability to lead and motivate a team. ● Hands on skills (including FLT licence) and knowledge of warehousing efficiencies and best practices including Inventory Management skills. ● Solid technical skills (IT) with the ability to forward plan for project work - ERP/WMS and MYOB / MS Office skills needed. ● Strong commercial acumen and common sense with excellent verbal and written communication skills. ● Strong cultural fit to the business and ability to delegate work and work cohesively with the existing operations, sales and management teams. ● A stable track record of employment and desire to build a long term career move.
