Customer Service Representative — Cremorne, Yarra Area

Our client is a nationally recognised organisation for their expertise in qualification assessment built on over 25 years of experience with their portfolio of services expanding to educational research, consultation on assessment standards, test design and curriculum development. Assisting with the work experience of prospective migrants and supporting individuals through employment applications, course entry and industry membership, they assess over 28 trade occupations and more than 360 professional occupations within various industries. Located in Cremorne, Victoria; our client is looking for Service Officers to assist with their business objectives and join their dynamic team. Playing a crucial role in educating the public, the Service Officer serves as the primary point of contact of both internal and external stakeholders through phone, email and other communication channels to offer assistance with general enquiries and guiding customers to the right department, staff member or case manager with a customer-centric and empathetic approach. This position will also assist our client with the management of the reception desk for 1-2 days per week on rotation conducting similar duties. Therefore, key responsibilities will include: •Attending to incoming communication in a timely and efficient manner •Direct the customer to the appropriate staff member or Case Manager •Assist customers visiting the office whilst on Reception desk •Assist with data entry for applications received and for any other service required including scanning and uploading supporting documentation received for skills assessment applications. •Provide an environment in which customer service is valued and delivered •Ensure a high level of privacy and confidentiality is maintained for all information handled •Contribute to the Continuous Improvement of the function by proposing solutions to issues and contributing to change implementation. The ideal candidate will have or the ability to: •Experience in a Contact Centre is essential •Ability to diagnose and solve problems through the application of theoretical principles and techniques. •Able to prioritise tasks and efficiently manage own time •Excellent verbal and written communication when interacting with customers, team members and people at higher staff levels •Strong Computer Literacy - must be technically minded and demonstrate ability to be comfortable with IT equipment set up and multiscreen use.
